Vintage Motorcars is excited to present this beautifully restored 1971 Oldsmobile 442 Convertible
This 1971 Oldsmobile 442 Convertible equipped with:
• Original Matching Number 455 CI Engine
• Power Steering
• Power Brakes
• Power Windows
• Power Convertible Top
Oldsmobile only made 1,304 442 convertibles in 1971 and while it's easy to tell that this car is a factory 442 from the serial number, it's rarity is furthered by it's original, matching engine.
This 442 has been recently repainted in Cadillac Viking Blue and is in pristine condition. The brand new white canvas top matches and fits perfectly and has the correct glass rear window. The interior matches just as nicely with its fresh, new white leather.
Mechanically, this 442 starts and runs well. The 455 CI engine makes plenty of power and the TH400 Transmission shifts with ease. Add to that the power steering and power brakes and this car is just easy to take down the road. Creature comforts, like the power windows and power top are nice modern conveniences. This car was originally and air condition car, although everything under the hood has been removed. However; if you wanted to add Vintage Air, it would be very easy since it was once hooked up
This 442 is just a great car. While it is not quite a trailer queen, it is a fantastic driver and will surely turn plenty of heads. It is the kind of car that begs to be driven around town and to local car shows where it will be admired by young and old alike. This is a great opportunity to purchase a steadily appreciating piece of American history.
