This EL Camino is a great daily driver in good mechanical condition. Produced during the 2nd week of April 1972, this Chevy rolled off of the Los Angeles factory floor wearing code 14B Pewter Silver colors with a black vinyl top. Also ordered was Astro-Ventilation AC and a stout 12-bolt rear differential. Equipped with power steering and power brakes w/ front discs. Being a California truck, it has been spared from the salt and humidity that has often taken its toll on vehicles of this era, and as such, there is no rust or rot anywhere to be found. Also, there is no evidence of accident damage, abuse or neglect. This car has had a thorough in-house inspection and all of the panels and metal appear original to the car. There are no patched quarter panels or cut up floors or rust repair. The factory seams are intact and still covered in GM seam seal.
The body on this truck is solid with very flat panels and nice gaps. The paint is of good driver quality and shines well. The vinyl top is in very good condition and goes very well with the bed cover and lower black paint. The cowl-induction hood is fully functional and really looks sharp! The 350 engine makes good power, starts easily and doesn't smoke or leak. The transmission provides firm shifts and performs as it should.
The interior features a custom made center console w/ a B&M shifter and switches for the power windows. The headliner, door panels, carpet & dash pad are in good shape and all of the interior features function as intended with the exception of the blower motor which needs to be replaced. The AC system is complete, charged and fully functional aside from that. The swivel-bucket seats as you can see in the pictures are covered in leather and are very comfortable.
This a reliable, great looking El Camino that gets "thumbs ups" whenever driven. Want to go on a road trip? Get in and turn the key. Or, if you like, take it to your local car show or show-n-shine event and make a day of it!
This 1972 EL Camino will sell with a clean California title, bill of sale and a set of keys. It is currently registered with the D.M.V so there are no back fees due or other issues for the new buyer to deal with.
