1971 Chevelle SS Tribute
Some of the meanest and most revered muscle cars to ever come out of the Chevrolet Motor Division in the 60s and 70s were the SS Chevelles.
The standard Chevelle SS engine was a two-barrel 350-cubic-inch V8 rated at 245 gross horsepower. Optional was a four-barrel carbureted version of the 350 V8 rated at 275 gross horsepower, 402 cid big-block engine at 300 gross horsepower, and the LS5 454 V8 that produced 365 gross horsepower with cowl induction and louder exhaust system.
What Is Special About This Car
The 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Tribute we have at Skyway Classics is what everyone wishes you could have ordered new in 1971, or today for that matter.
It is the very essence of a bad a muscle car with it'd “Bad In Black” all black attire from the top to the wheels. It has a modified big block motor, great interior, and great running gear and ride.
Let's start off with the Big Block Chevy motor dropped into the immaculate engine bay. It has many internal high performance parts including hotter cam and kit, aluminum intake, performance carb, headers, MSD ignition system, and more.
It is decked out with a factory air cleaner, chrome valve covers, spark plug wire looms, a Wildwood Power Disc Brake system, and even air conditioning for you comfort level. The power is thrust to the Posi rear end via a Hurst shifter and white shifter ball.
The all black stock appearing interior carries out the all black look with its black bucket seats, seat belts, rear seats, center console, door panels, dash, and floor mats which have all been restored or replaced. The dash is great and housing all the gauges and stereo radio system and it steers with a chrome and padded steering wheel.
Our 1971 Chevelle has the all black paint look as we mentioned earlier on its great styling that includes the classic Chevelle look with large Power-Beam single-unit headlights, a reworked grille and bumper, and integral park/signal/marker lights. New dual round taillights were integral with the back bumper. The Cowl Induction hood and the SS emblems really set it off too.
An all black car like the 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Tribute we have here at Skyway Classics is really a car to stop you in its tracks when you see and hear it coming. If you want a big block Chevelle this may be the right one for you.
