The Chevrolet Series Confederate is an American vehicle manufactured by Chevrolet in 1932 to replace the 1931 Series AE Independence that allowed Chevrolet to retain first place in the American car sales.
The 1932 was know for the sloping of the windshield and the removal of the external visor above. On either side of the hood the previous louvers were replaced by opening vents, finished in a distinctive chrome on DeLuxe models.
Why Is This Car Special
Total production of this car was only 1183 but we just got a gorgeous, red, all steel 1932 Chevrolet Confederate BA Deluxe Sport Roadster in at Skyway Classics today.
The 1932 Deluxe remained powered by the "Stovebolt Six" 194 cu in six-cylinder engine, but now upgraded with a downdraft carburetor and a higher compression ratio to produce 60 hp.
It is backed up by a Synchromesh 3 speed manual transmission and had Selective free wheeling. The wide whites (whitewall tires) ride on fantastic wire wheels as well as having the same combo as a spare tire.
It has a restored black bench adjustable seat interior with white pipping on the seats, matching door panels, factory shifter and steering wheel, and matching black/white pipping rumble seat.
This completely restored Red 1932 has a multitude of features on the exterior like chrome hood louvers (which were only offered on the Deluxe mode), tilting windshield, Cowl light, Dual chrome horn, Full white top with side curtains, Rumble seat, Luggage rack with matching painted trunk, running boards, and Jack and lug wrench.
With only a little over 1100 ever made, the chances of finding a restored 1932 Chevrolet Deluxe like we have here at Skyway Classics would be near impossible. Come see this great red one today.
