Purchased new in October 1963 by Don & Laura Abbott from Beaty Chevrolet of Knoxville, Tennessee this 1964 Corvette Convertible is the exact definition of a "Survivor." Although those terms are thrown about loosely in today's collector car market, this car truly fits the bill. Sporting it's Original Riverside Red paint, Red Interior and Complete Numbers-Matching Drivetrain, this Corvette has been inspected and verified by Roger Gibson of Gibson Restorations and his full report is included with the sale.
This highly original Vette' was purchased from Original Owners Don & Laura Abbott in September 2016 with a full complement of original documentation including Owner's Guide, 1964 Warranty Plan, Dealer Invoice, Certificate of Tennessee Title dated 10-28-63, Radio Guide, Sales Invoice and Sales Brochure. Also included is a notarized letter from the Abbotts stating the miles and condition of the vehicle when it left their ownership in September of 2016.
The Original paint shows well with only a few small touch-up spots and typical aging you would expect from a 53 year old car. The interior has held up well, with only the driver's side upholstery showing a rip and typical fading of the carpet and bezel finish. The drivetrain has been verified as original to the car with only service components being changed over the years as needed.
