EXTRA, EXTRA, READ ALL ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ladies and Gentleman Just Toys Classic Cars is VERY proud to present to you today a true original black beauty of a 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible. We were smitten by this car the moment that we walked up to her and we feel that by the photos, you will be as well.
This car has all of the documentation that you would expect in a car like this. As you will see in the pictures, we have the original bill of sale in 1967, the original window sticker that came with the car, the protecto plate and warranty guide, and yes ladies and gentleman, this 1967 Corvette has the all elusive tank sticker. The owner of this fine automobile or shall we say investment is only the second owner. We even have the original plates that the car came with. This car was honored with a 96.2 Top Flight award in 2008 at a fall chapter meet, and then again at the regional meet in Kissimmee, Florida with a 96.7 Top Flight award. There is a 3 ring binder of information on this car that has all of the important prominence that you would look for in a car like this.
Now, lets get into what makes this 1967 Corvette Convertible so special. First of all, what grabs you right away is the absolutely beautiful black paint. This car has had one respray in its life, but it is lacquer, not base clear. It does have a flaw or two here and there, but the current owner didn't want to have it loose any points on paint. As a matter of fact, they already think it is "to shinny" but to each their own right. As you will see on the bill of sale, there was a dealer installed luggage rack, but the original owner had it removed and had the holes filled. The next thing that should really get your attention is that beautiful red interior. Ladies and Gentleman, this is a VERY RARE color combination on a 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible. The other thing that will knock your socks off, is that this is the original interior right down to the carpet. There has not been one thing replaced EVER on this interior. Also, you will focus on the beautiful white top on this car. This top has been replaced with a date coded one so it is correct for judging.
This car has power steering as well as power brakes, and the AM/FM radio and it works. Speaking of things that work, even the clock works on this fine automobile, and y'all know that they always quit working and yes it is the original clock.
Under the hood sits the original 327/300 HP engine that is matted to the original M20 transmission. Everything has been detailed and you will see the stamp on the block as well as the block number on the driver side of the engine. It has the original Holley Carburetor that came on the car as well. The engine, trans, or rear end have never needed rebuilt because the car only has 33,665 original miles on it. The gas tank has been replaced with a correct tank, new fuel lines, as well as the original carb being rebuilt.
We have driven this car, and we can tell you that she rides as nice as she looks. No squeaks or rattles. She shifts absolutely smooth. This car goes straight as an arrow when you let go of the wheel and even under braking she doesn't pull to one side or the other.
Now, this car also comes with the original set of rally wheels that have new white wall tires on them for when you want to go and get the car judged. So, make sure that you bring something else with you to put those in when you buy this black beauty of a vette.
