Delivered on February 10, 1965 and was imported to California by Competition Motors in Culver City, CA. The exterior color Champagne Yellow (6405) and the interior trim in Black Leatherette. Options included Radio Blaupunkt “Frankfurt Deluxe”, 2 Loudspeakers, Antenna and Chromed Wheels.
A complete ground up restoration occurred between 2009 and 2010. Beautiful paint and interior finished in its original color combination.
The engine was rebuild in 2010 with SC heads, C crank, R616 rods, 102 cams, Shasta 86mm forged pistons with cast iron cylinders, Bosch 031 distributor and Solex 40 P11-4 (solid shaft) Carburetors.
The braking system has a new master cylinder, rebuilt calipers, new front rotors, re-surfaced rear rotors and all new pads. New hoses and hard lines completed the system.
The transaxle was rebuilt with new side cover bearings, new axle bearings and seals. A lightened flywheel was installed along with a new clutch.
The suspension was rebuilt using new front spindles, Weltmeister antiroll bar, Koni (blue SP20 shocks) new 5.5” chrome wheels and new Michelin 195-65 tires.
This Porsche 356 has been driven recently over 7,000 trouble free miles over the past year. It is fully service and tuned ready to enjoy!
