There's a lot to like about this 1968 Ford Mustang GT500 Tribute. After all, it's got the right Shelby attitude, its arguably in the best color, and the price is quite nice for it all.
When you're going to do a tribute to an awesome Mustang, you should go ahead and check all the boxes. So before we even look at the GT500 pieces, take a look at what else this coupe has to offer. Highland Green is an awesome Mustang color. After all, it was made famous by Steve McQueen in Bullitt. Plus, you even had the 60s-cool premium vinyl roof. But ok, we really know what caught your eye on this one are all the snake-bitten upgrades. That means the fiberglass hood w/dual scoops, extended nose, quarter panel scoops, and well-integrated trunk spoiler. With those white stripes painted on top and matching GT500 rocker decals, this one really has a great aggressive look. It gets the Shelby attitude right even in the details, like the driving lights in the grille, Cobra badges, and correct-style 15-inch wheels.
The sea of green continues inside with an Ivy Gold two-tone in Deluxe trim. The '68s kept the original Mustang attitude but were upgraded with better gauges, dash, and other details that make them nicer to own. Plus, this one goes further with driver upgrades, like the cup holder center console and wood-rimmed steering wheel.
Under the hood this one shows more Shelby-style attitude with the Cobra ribbed valve covers and matching long Cobra air topper. And while this is a tribute machine, it still means you get Ford's robust small block V8. And the glasspack-style dual exhaust has a sweet sound that gives a feeling of a GT's attitude. A tribute is meant to be driven so you have nice driving features like power steering and a three-speed automatic transmission.
This is the GT500 tribute that even has a little Bullitt-style boldness. That makes it a cool coupe that you want to get your hands on right now.
