1964 is a sought-after year for the Corvair. This was the only year the first-generation body received the larger motor now displacing 164 cubic inches. This is believed to be in high-performance spec, and it's a pretty lively motor for this lightweight coupe. The rear axle was tamed thanks to the addition of a transverse leaf spring like the Corvette, and upgraded brakes were added this year too.
