GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this 1998 Chevrolet Corvette for your consideration. The C5 is powered by a large 5.7L V8. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a strong shifting automatic transmission. The example offered here has received many performance upgrades to create upwards of 400 horsepower. These upgrades include ceramic long tube headers, a Borla exhaust system, Venom intake, and a dyno tuned ECU chip.
The exterior is finished in what is believed to be the original Pewter paint. There are minor imperfections throughout the exterior and overall it looks great. Complementing the Pewter paint are chrome wheels mounted at all four corners. Paired with the Pewter exterior is a black leather interior that is free of any major imperfections.
Overall the Corvette offered here is a great example of a tastefully tuned C5 that is ready to continue pulling down the road at ridiculous speeds. Please call or email today with any questions or for additional information.
The introduction of the C5 Corvette for the 1997 model year was a huge success and with the U.S. economy in a boom, dealers were selling these faster than the plant in Bowling Green could keep up. This led to significant dealer markups which allowed the value of these to rise drastically for the first few years of production. With 4-wheel independent suspension to go along with speed-sensitive power rack & pinion steering, the handling of the C5 Corvette was unmatched by any affordable sports car. The track times turned in put the Corvette in the elite company of especially notable cars since its comparables were Ferrari and Lamborghini. The 1998 Corvette was named Car and Driver “Car of the Year.”
