Messerschmitt AG was a German aircraft manufacturing corporationnamed its chief designer. After the war, when production slowed down, Messerschmitt created a FMR Tg500 from 1958 to 1961. This car had a two stroke straight-two engine. The aircraft design is apparent even in these small crafts. Additionally, there was the added bonus that the same version car could be exported to left and right hand driving countries.The low body, aerodynamics, and wheel placement give this small micro-car excellent driving characteristics. These Tg500 could reach a top speed of about 78 mph.
