GR Auto Gallery is excited to present this 1978 Triumph Spitfire 1500. This brilliant little cruiser comes in a stunning yellow paint job complimented by a clean black interior and black convertible top. The convertible top is in excellent shape and functions at it should. Powering this zippy cruiser is a 1493cc inline 4 cylinder motor mated to a crisp manual gearbox. Features of the Triumph include front disc brakes, working heat and more. This impeccable vehicle has been with the same family for the past 20 years. In that time a full restoration is believed to have been completed on the vehicle. Additionally, the Spitfire has been recently inspected professionally and given a clean bill of health. So, if you're in the market for a fun in the sun cruiser, this Spitfire is the car for you. Please contact us today for more information.
The Triumph Spitfire is a small British two-seat sports car, introduced at the London Motor Show in 1962. The vehicle was based on a design produced for Standard-Triumph in 1957 by Italian designer Giovanni Michelotti. In 1973 the fifth generation debuted. The fifth generation sported a new motor, suspension upgrades, longer swing axles and a lowered spring mounting point. The wider, lower stance gave an impressive skid pad result of 0.87g average. This put the Spitfire far ahead of its competition in handling.
