1971 Oldsmobile 442 Convertible
Why This Car Is Special
The 1971 Oldsmobile 442 Convertible we have here at Skyway Classics is not only the real-real numbers matching car that has its original engine and drivetrain, it is also a great looking Muscle car with its beautiful Viking Blue paint job, white bucket seat interior w/factory console, and white power convertible top. And it is very rare as only 1,304 442 convertibles were made in that year.
Our 1971 442 has a big block V8 under the hood with a ram air system catching the cold air from the hood scoops, that has been well maintained and sits in a very clean and detailed engine compartment. It starts promptly and commands authority from the rumble of the dual exhaust. A three-speed Turbo Hydra-Matic 400 transmission sits behind it and powers the 10-bolt rear end.
As you can see in the pics it also has air condition, power steering and brakes, dual exhaust w/ correct trumpet tips, and color-keyed iconic factory N67 Super Stock wheels with black wall tires.
The interior is also in excellent shape; from the gorgeous Ivory bucket seats, w/original style shifter, woodgrain dash and great gauges, to the black carpet, this classic has been very well maintained and looks as though it just came off the assembly line.
Our 442 looks so aggressive with its white double stripe running down both sides, the white convertible top, rear wing, and those aggressive white scoops on the fiberglass hood. It has great chrome bumpers and stainless, and the paint has a superior shine, it looks absolutely amazing, as does the detailed trunk compartment.
It has been said to always buy the last of each collector car model, so the 1971 Oldsmobile 442 Convertible we have here at Skyway Classics is absolutely worth collecting.
