The R230 generation of the SL was introduced in 2001 as the replacement of the R129. It later went through revisions in 2006 and 2008. It first appeared before the public as the Safety Car for Formula One at the 2001 German Grand Prix. Numerous design changes took place throughout the years until the R231 Generation took over in 2011. A variety of engine options were offered and the AMG was the pinnacle of this class. This particular near perfect AMG is being offered with jus over 64,000 miles from new with all books, records and two sets of keys.
