1954 was the first full production year after Corvette's "soft launch" in 1953. GM always used Corvette to push to envelope for manufacturing, such as first production use of a fiberglass body. Only 3,640 were made in 1954. This is one that has persisted through the ages and was lovingly restored, frame-off, to factory specifications. Every nut and bolt has been turned on this Corvette. The Polo white exterior shows virtually flawlessly. The Sportsman Red interior, like new. The in-line "Blue Flame" 6-cylinder engine and two-speed power glide transmission have completely rebuilt to OEM specs. It as never been judged, but it is a genuine museum piece, proudly displayed as part of the Classic Car Collection in Kearney, Nebraska.
If you are looking for the just the right C1 Corvette to complete your collection, or a first generation Corvette that you can take out to Cars and Coffee, this may very well be the one you've been searching for.
