The Series III E-Type, built from 1971 to 1975, was a major departure from its Series I and Series II predecessors. An ultra-smooth 5.3 liter V12 engine replaced the classic inline sixes that preceded it. Fender flares were added to make room for larger tires and a wider track. A new radiator opening announced the new model from the front and a V12 badge on the trunk lid identified the new model from the rear. Matched with an upgraded interior, the changes made the E-type a strong competitor to all other luxury sports cars of the era.
Our E-type features a 4-speed manual transmission, power steering, power brakes, and chrome wire wheels. It is presented in turquoise livery with black leather and a black top. This numbers matching roadster has recently been sorted from top to bottom. The body received a high-quality repaint in the original shade of turquoise. The seats, carpet, and soft top have recently been beautifully restored. The braking system has been recently rebuilt and received new rotors and pads, and the steering rack has been rebuilt.
The odometer shows less than 49,000 miles. The paint under the hood and trunk is believed to be original with no signs of any prior damage. The car is in excellent mechanical condition with an exceptionally strong engine and buttery gearbox.
Four new Pirelli tires are mounted on excellent chrome wire wheels. The car is accompanied by its original books, tools, and of course, a Jaguar Heritage Certificate.
This suburb low mileage example would be the perfect weekend cruiser and a welcome participant on any number of enthusiast events.
