Popular among crooks and police, the 1934 Roadster could get away from, or catch, anything out there at the time. In a letter to a surprised Henry Ford, famous bank robber Clyde Barrow wrote: "I have drove [sic] Fords exclusively when I could get away with one. For sustained speed and freedom from trouble the Ford has got ever [sic] other car skinned and even if my business hasen't [sic] been strictly legal it don't hurt enything [sic] to tell you what a fine car you got in the Ford V-8.”
For this custom hot rod consignment, the word “getaway” is an understatement. It would be more appropriate to call it a “getaway and be totally gone” car. Sporting a 502ci GM crate engine with fuel injection and throw in a 671 VVC Chevrolet blower, and you will have your hands very full.

Feast your eyes on the newly recovered custom red leather buckets, and door panels. They are all in near perfect condition and barely broken in. Same with the contrasting black carpet, gloss black painted metal dash with a smattering for gauges, and power buttons. Gaze upward and you'll find a matching stitched leather headliner. The center console houses the power window, power trunk release, power hood release buttons, and the long arm gearshift lever.
An F1 Tech fuel injection system with a VVC 671 Chevrolet blower, rests atop a 502ci Chevrolet crate mill. Couple this to a 6-speed Tremec manual transmission, and really what more could you ask for?…OH yes how about custom painted and pinstriped valve covers, and some leather padding thrown in just for kicks.. mind you this is in the engine bay!
