2dr Convertible Veloce
*Low Mileage - 42,402 miles
*Looks Great - Drives Great
One owner 1986 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce. Red with black leather. 42,441 miles. Spare tire has never been on the ground. Original radio. Cold A/C. A Philadelphia area college professor bought this car new. We bought a Ferrari from him and got the Alfa as part of the deal. He provided us with an impressive folder of receipts as well as the original owner's and service manual.
With the exception of a few chips and maybe a minor door ding or two, the body is absolutely rust free and very nice. The Carfax is clean. The paint is original, shinny, and without fading. The wheels look good. The interior is original and the majority of it is very good to excellent. The seat leather however, has some cracking and shows age. The top appears to be original and is surprisingly nice. Everything works including the A/C, but the radio is scratchy.
We've driven the car for a weekend and it runs well. 2nd and 3rd gear synchros are weak but very useable with care and the good part is we've discounted the car for that reasons. You could look a year and not find a better overall example.
It is a survivor example of 33 year old Italian sports car. This is a car for the owner that appreciates the difference between a great original example and a made-over run-down example of dubious origin.
You would be hard pressed to find a better value in an inexpensive sports car.
Was a bargain at $10,950, now reduced to sell at $9,900.
