The Volkswagen Beetle is one of the most recognizable cars in the world, and for good reason: it is also the most mass-produced car of all time with well over 20 million units produced. It's no wonder that Americans have had such a love affair with this cute little German car! The Super Beetle was first introduced in 1972, but more closely resembled the Standard models than did the 1973+ Beetles.
This 1972 VW Beetle is a very unique car that is full of personality (as many Beetles seem to be!). This example was owned by the same couple for over 25 years until they recently decided to put it up for sale. It has been enjoyed somewhat sparingly, and the owners recently put new tires on it that have less than 100 miles on them.
The exterior is very clean and wears a nice pearl white paint job, similar to that found on many modern Cadillacs. It has also had an old school JC Whitney “continental kit” installed that gives the car a unique look and adds to the personality. If this is not your cup of tea, this is a modification that can easily be reversed simply by painting and bolting on a standard hood and trunk. Gold painted alloy wheels add to the unique, clean, and almost fancy exterior look. Overall, the body is very straight and clean. The underside has your typical spots that have been addressed with patches. The battery area has seen a patch and you'll see another couple under it. But it's hard to find these today without a few patches like seen here.
The interior is very clean and complete; a condition best described as high-quality driver condition. A newer radio and marine speakers have been installed and are functional so you can listen to your favorite tunes while cruising with the top down! Cruising this Beetle will be super easy; with a mild cam installed this puppy really moves! For a mostly stock Beetle, this car gets up and goes.
If you're looking for a nice quality driver, take this cute little bug into consideration!
