Among the first pillar less hardtop coupes to ever be produced, Cadillac premiered the Cadillac Series 62 Coupe de Ville at the 1949 Motorama. The Series 62 was designed originally to replace the Series 65, and in 1959 the Series 62 was renamed at Series 6200. The '59 Series 6200 was known for its huge tail fins that were sharp and had dual bullet tail lights. It has a 130 in wheelbase, with engine output at 325 hp from the 390 cu in engine. Over 53,000 were sold in the first year of it becoming its own series.
