Dallas Motor Club is pleased to offer this very original 1989 Jeep Grand Wagoneer.
This 1989 Jeep Grand Wagoneer was purchased new in California and remained in the state until brought to Seattle in 2009. Power comes from a 5.9-liter V8 backed by a 3-speed TorqueFlite 727 automatic transmission and 2-speed transfer case. Service conducted just prior to this auction consisted of new engine mounts, oil change, new power steering pump, new battery and a tune-up in anticipation of the sale. Now showing 144k miles, this FSJ is ready for a new forever home. The JGW will come with with records dating to the 1990s, spare parts, a manual and dealer brochure, and a clean Washington State title.
The truck is finished in Grenadine paint and faux wood grain paneling. The hood appears to have been repainted, but the rest of the truck appears all original. A factory roof rack is present along with fog lamps and rubber-capped bumpers. This is an extremely clean, original truck that has no visible rust anywhere.
Factory 15″ aluminum wheels are shod in 235/70 Hankook Optimo H724 whitewalls. The power rear window is currently inoperable, but a rear window rebuild kit from BJ's Off-Road will be included in the sale along with a window switch and connector from Team Grand Wagoneer.
The interior is finished in tan leather upholstery with darker carpeting and a woodgrain dash overlay. A 2013 interior refresh included replacing the headliner, door panels, and more. There are some stretch marks and cracking on the seats.
An aftermarket radio has replaced the original. WeatherTech floor mats are installed front and rear. Instrumentation, climate control, front and rear wipers, and cruise control are operational along with all windows aside from the rear. The 6-digit odometer shows 144k miles.
The A/C is in working order, but does not blow very cold and would need to be addressed for our warmer climate bidders.
The 4X4 is very finicky and our tech said its a vacuum leak to the actuator. (easy fix and super common on these)
The 360ci AMC V8 is mated to a 3-speed TorqueFlite A727 automatic transmission and Selec-Trac N229 4-wheel drive system with viscous coupling. According to records from previous ownership, work conducted in the last 20k miles included:
