The 1969 Dart lost the 2-door sedan model at the end of '68, and was replaced with the Swinger 2-door hardtop. Also added was the Swinger 340. All Darts received trim updates including a minor revision of the grille and rectangular park/turn lights.
For the GTS, it had a blacked-out rear panel and finally got the full Road Runner/Super Bee treatment for its 383 bumping power to 330 hp. Suspension was strengthened accordingly, and a new rear "bumble bee" stripe was introduced.
The Dart 340 featured a 340ci/275hp engine with a 4-speed manual with Hurst shifter, Rayllye suspension, "Swinger" bumble bee stripes, and fat 14" wheels and tires.
