The 1969 Coronet base model was dropped and mid-year a new A12 package became available for the Super Bee.
The A12 package included a 390 hp version of the 440ci 3x2bbl, a black fiberglass lift-off hood secured with metal pins, heavy-duty suspension and 15" steel wheels. The hood contained a functional hood scoop sealed to the air cleaner with decals on both sides with the words "Six Pack" in red letter. The A12 option was only available for the 1969 model year.
With the base model being dropped, the Deluxe became the lowest model.
The R/T returned, and the 500 remained as the top-of-the-line choice with wood-grained instrument panel, as well as a map, ashtray, and glovebox light.
