The 1963 Grand Prix received revised sheet metal shared with other full-size Pontiacs, but with its own squared-off roofline with a concave rear window.
Also new was a split grille with vertical headlights and round parking lights and "hidden" taillights out back.
Engine options changed this year which included a new 330 hp 389 Tri-Power and three versions of the larger 421ci. The 303hp/389ci remained standard equipment.
Consumers seemed to like the changes as the Grand Prix more than doubled its previous year's production.
