“Mean Green Muscle”

We are pleased to offer this 1974 AMC Javelin for purchase. The Javelin was AMC's entry in to the “Pony Car” market that was competitive with the Mustang, Camaro, and Barracuda. This was the last year the Javelin was made before the OPEC Oil Embargo and EPA restrictions killed off the muscle cars. The AMC Javelin sold in respectable numbers with bold curves, powerful engines, and great handling. They were very successful in racing, and were the first muscle cars to ever be used in the police force in order to have vehicles fast enough for high speed chases.

This AMC Javelin is powered by the original numbers matching 304 cu in 5.0L V8. It was rebuilt in 2003, and the odometer shows the miles since the rebuild. The paint was also done in 2003 in the original factory color of Medium Green (in excellent condition). 2 front fenders from Desert Valley were used to replace the originals. Recent work includes a new timing chain, new radiator, and an electronic ignition. This is a very nice 2 owner vehicle that's always been well maintained.
